Posidonia oceanica is an endemic seagrass species in the Mediterranean Sea. In order to assess levels of genetic structure in this species, the microsatellite polymorphism was analysed from meadows collected in several localities, along the coasts of the Tyrrhenian Sea (Mediterranean Sea).
