[Urolithiasis: current views on pathogenesis, course and treatment].

Urolithiasis was suspected in 14,000 patients. Results of relevant examinations are presented. Urolithiasis is encountered in 7.1% of the population. The disease onset seems to result from systemic and renal hormonal dysfunctions. Marriage of two close relatives, unbalanced diet can also contribute to development of urolithiasis. Conservative, surgical and shock-wave treatments are discussed in pathogenetic aspect.
