OBJECTIVES: A recent report has suggested an association between Helicobacter pylori eradication and the development of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). We therefore assessed the incidence of GERD among comparable patients having undergone successful versus failed H. pylori eradication in a controlled trial.
