Abstract excerpt
The presence of cytotoxic necrotizing factor 1 (CNF1), together with various associated virulence factors (alpha-haemolysin, P-, S- and A-fimbriae), was screened in 175 uropathogenic Escherichia coli strains isolated from hospitalized adult patients.
