The identification of the autosomal dominant nocturnal frontal lobe epilepsy (ADNFLE) in 1994 was rapidly followed by that of other familial forms of non lesional partial epilepsies (familial temporal lobe epilepsy, autosomal dominant partial epilepsy with variable foci).
