<title>Abstract</title> <p>Strain C17T, a novel strain belonging to the phylum Actinobacteria, was isolated from thermal power plant in Yantai, Shandong Province, China. Cells of strain C17T were Gram-stain-positive, aerobic, pink, non-motile and round with neat edges.
