A moderately thermophilic bacterial strain designated wcf1(T), isolated from a hot spring located in the Tainan area, southern Taiwan, was characterized using a polyphasic approach. The cells were Gram-negative, non-pigmented, rod-shaped, non-spore-forming and motile.
