Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa serotype O5 wild-type strain PAO1 and derived rough-type mutant strains AK1401 and AK1012 was isolated by a modified phenol/chloroform/petroleum-ether extraction method.
