Idiopathic retroperitoneal fibrosis (IRF) is a rare urological disease, for which many pathogenic theories have been proposed. The authors report a series of 13 cases of IRF in order to evaluate the clinical, diagnostic, laboratory, therapeutic and prognostic aspects.
