Pseudomonas fluorescens strain LP6a, isolated from petroleum condensate-contaminated soil, utilizes the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) naphthalene, phenanthrene, anthracene and 2-methylnaphthalene as sole carbon and energy sources.
