Population studies on six short tandem repeat loci, HUMF13A01, HUMFXIIIB, HUMLIPOL, HUMTH01, HUMTPOX and HUMVWFA31 were carried out in a sample of unrelated Japanese individuals (n = 337-545) living in Gifu Prefecture (central region of Japan).
