Choriocarcinoma, a malignant tumor of usually placental origin, in divided into two groups; the gestational and non-gestational types, the latter being rare. Non-gestational choriocarcinoma occurs in the lung, mediastinum, kidney, stomach, and small intestine, but rarely appears in the large intestine.
