We have evaluated the frequency of HLA class I and II antigens in 205 Italian patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and 749 blood donors (controls). Moreover, we have looked for correlations between HLA antigen frequencies and HBV and/or HCV infections in HCC patients.
