A screening method for mutants of Arabidopsis thaliana hypersensitive to gamma-radiation has been devised. Plants grown from ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS)-treated seeds were irradiated at the seedling stage, which is highly radiosensitive due to extensive cell division.
