From grown cultures of UV-irradiated Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells with disomy at chromosome IV, clones with nuclear gene mutations were isolated, each of which was suggested to change both mitochondrial spontaneous rho- mutability and the mitotic stability of extra natural chromosomes.
