Pulmonary complications of alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency are most commonly manifested by panlobular emphysema. This report describes histologically proven bronchiectasis in a 21 year old man with massive haemoptysis and homozygous deficiency of alpha 1-antitrypsin.
