People with HIV (PWH) experience a twofold higher risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) despite effective antiretroviral therapy. A novel locus on chromosome 2 near NAT8 was associated with CVD in a multiancestry genome-wide association study of 7951 PWH from the Million Veteran Program.
