Mutations in isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) occur in 10% to 25% of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA) cases. Despite significantly prolonged progression-free survival, the mutant IDH1 (mIDH1) inhibitor ivosidenib achieved only a 3% response rate in clinical trials, highlighting the need for new therapeutic options for IDH1 mutation (IDH1mut) iCCA.
