Gepotidacin, a novel, bactericidal, first-in-class triazaacenaphthylene antibacterial, was noninferior to nitrofurantoin in two pivotal trials (EAGLE-2 and EAGLE-3) in females with uncomplicated urinary tract infections (uUTIs).
