The fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda), a lepidopteran pest of highly destructive, has developed resistance to organophosphate and carbamate insecticides through target-site mutations, including A201S and F290V in the ace-1 gene encoding acetylcholinesterase (AChE).
