INTRODUCTION: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) encompasses a heterogeneous group of aggressive myeloid malignancies, where FMS-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3) mutations are prevalent, accounting for approximately 25-30% of adult patients.
