Background: L-2-hydroxyglutaric aciduria (L2HGA) is a rare inherited autosomal recessive neurometabolic disorder caused by pathogenic variants in the L2HGDH gene which encodes mitochondrial 2-hydroxyglutarate dehydrogenase.
