Herbicide-resistant weeds pose a serious threat to world food production. The rapid and widespread development of target-site based resistance limits the application of herbicides. Alopecurus myosuroides Huds. (blackgrass) has spread rapidly in winter wheat regions in China, and the field recommended dose of ALS herbicides no longer controls blackgrass populations in recent years.
