Metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) is incurable in patients with unresectable disease. For most patients, the primary treatment is palliative systemic chemotherapy. Genomic profiling is used to detect specific genetic mutations that may offer selected patients a modest survival benefit with targeted therapy.
