BACKGROUND: LncRNA POU3F3 (POU3F3) is overexpressed and plays oncogenic roles in esophageal squamous-cell carcinomas. LncRNA MEG3 (MEG3) has been characterized as a tumor suppressive lncRNA in different types of cancer.
