Most methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) isolates in Taiwan are resistant to clindamycin. MRSA USA300 (sequence type 8), usually susceptible to clindamycin and prevalent in North America, was rarely identified in Taiwan until October 2015.
