BACKGROUND: Anaphylaxis is frequent in patients suffering from primary mast cell disorders (PMCDs). In patients without mastocytosis in the skin (MIS) and a baseline serum tryptase (bST) less than 30 ng/mL, the diagnosis of PMCD is challenging.
