Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a common cancer threatening human health. Intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1, CD54) displays a key role in carcinogenesis and previous studies have suggested that ICAM-1 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are predicted to increase the risk of CRC.
