BACKGROUND: Our preliminary RNA-Seq data revealed altered expression of small nucleolar RNA host gene 9 (SNHG9) in osteoarthritis (OA) and its reverse correlation with miR-34a, which can regulate chondrocyte apoptosis in rat OA model.
