Background: Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is an autosomal dominant inherited genetic disorder and results in the development of coronary artery disease (CAD). Clinical diagnosis of homozygous HH patients is usually straightforward because persistent hypercholesterolemia can produce xanthoma and corneal arcus.
