The genus Urochloa P. Beauv. [syn. Brachiaria (Trin.) Griseb.] comprises species of great economic relevance as forages. The genomic constitution for the allotetraploid species Urochloa brizantha (cv. Marandu) and Urochloa decumbens (cv.
