Recently, infectious disease outbreaks characterized by swelling and hemorrhagic liver and kidneys occurred in Muscovy ducklings in China. Four viruses were isolated and identified as adenoviruses by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
