Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy is an inheritable form of myocardial disease characterized most commonly by ventricular tachycardias, syncope, and sometimes systolic dysfunction and heart failure. A genetic mutation in the striatin gene has been identified in many affected dogs.
