BACKGROUND: Estrogen, whether therapeutic or physiologic, can cause hypertriglyceridemia. Hypertriglyceridemia-induced pancreatitis is a rare complication. CASES: We report 2 women who developed estrogen-associated severe hypertriglyceridemia with pancreatitis.
