Ceftaroline is the first β-lactam antibiotic with activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). We describe a ceftaroline-resistant MRSA strain, isolated from a girl with cystic fibrosis after 22 ceftaroline treatment courses.
