Whole genome sequencing (WGS) was compared to pulse-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) of XbaI-digested genomic DNA, as methods by which to evaluate a potential transmission of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae between 2 hospital inpatients.
