BACKGROUND: Steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome (SRNS) is found in 10-20 % of children with idiopathic nephrotic syndrome (INS). In SRNS patients, common histopathological subtypes are Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) (53 %) and minimal change disease (MCD) (27 %).
