Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) catalyzes the conversion of isocitrate to alpha ketoglutarate. IDH occurs in three isoforms, IDH1, located in the cytoplasm, IDH2 located in the mitochondria, and IDH3, which functions as part of the TCA cycle.
