Mutations in the lysosomal enzyme, N-sulfoglucosamine sulfohydrolase (SGSH), also called sulfamidase, cause accumulation of lysosomal inclusion bodies in the brain of children born with mucopolysaccharidosis type IIIA, also called Sanfilippo type A syndrome.
