We analyzed killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR) gene polymorphisms and genotype and haplotype characteristics in the Uygur population, a non-nomadic ethnic group found in Xinjiang, China, to provide a basis for studies on relationships between KIRs and diseases in this group.
