Pyridoxine-dependent epilepsy (PDE) is an inborn error of metabolism resulting from antiquitin deficiency. There is marked elevation of α-amino adipic semi-aldehyde (αAASA), piperidine-6-carboxylate (P6C) and pipecolic acid.
