Abstract excerpt
X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy (X-ALD) is a neurodegenerative disorder resulting from mutations within the ABCD1 gene. Adrenomyeloneuropathy (AMN) and childhood cerebral ALD (CCALD) are most common phenotypes in the Western ALD patients.
