AIM: To estimate the association of vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA) +936C/T and -634G/C polymorphisms and gastric cancer (GC) risk, a meta-analysis was performed. A total of nine studies were identified with 2,281 GC cases and 2,820 controls. This meta-analysis indicated significant associations between the VEGFA -634G/C polymorphism and GC risk were found for GC versus GG (OR 1.21, 95% CI 1.03-1.42)...
