Chloroplast RNA metabolism is controlled and excecuted by hundreds of nuclear-encoded, chloroplast-localized RNA binding proteins. Contrary to the nucleo-cytosolic compartment or bacteria, there is little evidence for non-coding RNAs that play a role as riboregulators of chloroplasts.
