Thirteen carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii isolates, collected in Romania during 2009-2010, were investigated to identify the mechanism(s) responsible for carbapenem resistance. Genotyping was performed by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis, multiplex PCR sequence typing and multilocus sequence typing.
