INTRODUCTION: Diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) of primary nodal (PN) or primary extranodal (PEN) origin may differ immunophenotypically, in that PEN lymphoma cells may originate from activated rather than germinal center B (GCB) cells.
