Ninety-six novel human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class I and class II alleles are described from volunteers for the 'Be The Match Registry®': 15 HLA-A alleles, 11 HLA-C alleles, 36 HLA-B alleles and 34 HLA-DRB1 alleles. Sixty-eight (∼71%) of the 96 novel alleles are single nucleotide substitution variants when compared with their most homologous allele. Twenty-three of these single nucleotide variants are silent...
