INTRODUCTION: Functional overload (FO) of the fast plantaris muscle was studied in treadmill-exercised (FO-Ex) or sedentary (FO-Sed) adult cats. METHODS: Mechanical, phenotype, and kinematics analyses were performed. RESULTS: Plantigrade vs. normal digitigrade posture was observed early post-FO.
