OBJECTIVES: We investigated the otolaryngological manifestations and genetic characteristics of lipoid proteinosis (LP). METHODS: Twenty-two cases of LP were included. Multisystem manifestations, pharyngolaryngeal behaviors, and histopathologic and genetic characteristics were evaluated. RESULTS: All patients presented with hoarseness as the first sign.
