OBJECTIVE: Preeclampsia (PE) is believed to be induced by endothelial cell dysfunction in placenta. Highly polymorphic endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) activity belongs to the factors significantly influencing vaso-motor tone in placenta and PE susceptibility.
